I take an animal or picture and divide it into multiple components that are then cut, sanded and stained or left in their natural colors. These parts are then reassembled and glued to a back board to form a picture. Often some of the parts are raised higher than others to give a 3-D effect to the finished product. It takes many hours to make this type of art form but the finished product is well worth the effort. I have on many occasions, been given just a photograph of an animal or scene to reproduce in this fashion.
